Artist Bio

Painting had been an occasional distraction from work until moving house in 2016. More space, beautiful countryside and wanting a better work-life balance with two young children spurred me on to try to make the career change from actuarial analyst to artist. I began in acrylics, painting a range of subjects from landscapes and botanical to figures and cars. I’ve now moved on to painting exclusively in oils, covering a wide variety of subjects, drawn to light, contrast and movement, to create the atmospheric paintings that I strive for.  

I exhibit regularly at AppArt and Tadworth Art Group Exhibitions and have also exhibited at Denbies, The Horton Arts, Art Surrey at Epsom Downs, Espacio Gallery London and local small galleries. I also sell though my website and at school fairs. In the past year I have branched out into creating artist products - greetings cards and coasters printed from the original artworks. I aim to continue developing my oil painting and range of artist products in the future.
